Jacqui Scoular and her boyfriend, Rob
My name is Jacqui Scoular and I am the youngest of four children. I was born in Sioux Falls, SD and have spent most of my life in this wonderful city. I attended elementary, middle, and high school in Sioux Falls and went to college at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, where I studied math education. After receiving my degree from the University, I spent time in Texas, Arizona and England. I then returned home and have been teaching seventh grade math for the past six years.
Family is very important to me and fortunately my relatives are geographically close. My grandma and grandpa live in Sioux Falls, but also spend some time in Mesa, Arizona. This is also true for my parents - except their home is in Chandler, Arizona. My aunt and uncle live in Pierre, SD (about a three and a half hour drive from Sioux Falls). My oldest brother, Jamie, is married to Kerry, and they live the farthest away - in Denver, Colorado. They have two children, Hayden and Finley. Jeff, the second oldest brother, lives in Sioux Falls, as does Jen, my other sister, and her husband, Jason. We all live within a two mile radius of each other. It is convenient to live close, especially when I want to take my dog, Wrigley, walking. We usually end up at Jeff or Jenn's House. I also enjoy spending time with my boyfriend, Rob, and his daughter, Halle.
I am an energetic person and find myself involved in a variety of activities. I have served five years on the University of Nebraska-Lincoln Board of Directors and am currently with the University Advisory Council. Additionally, I serve on our local chapter - the Sioux Empire Cornhusker Board of Directors. Furthermore, I am involved with several school activities. I coach cross country, track, and disc golf. I am the seventh grade team leader and a WEB coordinator, which is a program designed to help eighth grade students with their leadership skills.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending my time with athletics. Mainly I enjoy running! I have run in two marathons, Twin Cities(Minneapolis/St Paul, Minnesota) and Boston, and would run several more. I enter races throughout the year, ranging from 5K to marathon distance. Recently, I also started training for triathlons, and competed last year in Okoboji, Iowa. When I'm not running, biking, or swimming, I find myself golfing, water skiing, or in the winter, watching football, basketball, and/or hockey. A few other hobbies I have include scrap booking and reading, which are great for the cold winter months in South Dakota.
I am looking forward to going to Australia. Traveling is a final hobby of mine and I have never had the opportunity to travel to this part of the world. I am excited for the opportunities and experiences that I have.
